Are you a lover of underwater creatures and underwater activities? What would you actually do if you meet an unusual and strange looking creature? What if that creature looks like an animated spaghetti? A video which showcases a totally bizarre underwater spaghetti creature made its way on social media. The video was uploaded to YouTube on August 6, 2015.

The spaghetti-like creature was filmed by workers that's actually affiliated with the oil and gas company BP. It was located near the coast of Angola which is a country in southern Africa. They got stunned by its pasta-like features, the crew named it the “Flying Spaghetti Monster,” in reference to the satirical religion Pastafarianism.

The intiguing creature was later identified by the National Oceanography Centre’s SERPENT Project. According to the SERPENT Project, the creature was actually a type of an animal that's known as a siphonophore, specifically Bathyphysa conifer. It actually lives deep in the ocean. It’s an interesting form of a “colonial animal." Colonial animals were made up of many different multicellular organisms known as zooids. If they are together, these zooids can form a larger and more complex organism but in the BP crew's case, they found the creature that looks like some kind of spilled spaghetti abomination underwater.
